With the release of her latest Prince Edward Island shores novel, Liz Johnson ramps up family tension and romance in The Last Way Home. This romance with elements of a prodigal tale promises to be another great island book. Not only that, readers of the first island series, Prince Edward Island Dreams, will have a treat. Liz is taking us to The Red Door Inn again! Listen in as we chat about the series, writing, and even a bit about desert life! It'll make you grateful for not living in America's oven (unless you do. Then please commiserate with us!)

Author of some of the most endearing Christian romances (not to mention suspense and mystery), Liz Johnson has done it again with The Last Way Home. I know this and I've only read the first chapter. EEEP! Still, I'd planned to read it as a birthday treat, and I at least got it started. #BecauseLiz
The Last Way Home has prodigal vibes as well as sports, fame, and family drama all tangled with a romance that I suspect is going to have a few fireworks--or perhaps cause some. One or the other... or both. Either way, I want to be there for the show!
Liz and I talked about writing, family and their support, research, her republished series starting with my first read of hers, The Kidnapping of Kenzie Thorne, and of course, the books Liz is reading. I don't know about you, but Soundtracks by Jon Acuff sounds great, and I'm thinking I need a copy.
When Eli Ross left Prince Edward Island to join the NHL, he left a broken family behind. More than a decade later, he's broke and headed home to an uncertain welcome. He wants to make things right with the family he wronged, but his mom's business partner isn't making it easy. To top it off, the coaching job he's accepted turns out to be far more difficult than he anticipated.
For years, Violet Donaghy has put everything she had into making Eli's mom's ceramics shop a success, and she's not eager to forgive the man who hurt the family that's taken her in as one of their own. But when the kiln at the shop starts a fire that nearly destroys the studio, she'll need all the help she can get to save the business and their summer income.
Can these two strong-willed people come together to mend the broken pieces of the Ross family? Or will the ghosts of the past continue to haunt them?
Return to Prince Edward Island for a romantic story of family, forgiveness, and the power of love.
