We're back! With 3 weeks of internet troubles, I think we're good, and we're back with a great episode. New-to-me author, Tari Faris talks about her series, Restoring Heritage and her recent release, Since You've Been Gone.
Tari has a delightful series that I personally would love to see be the "Michigan Mitford" full of stories about the people of her little town of Heritage. She takes us from the prequel through to the book she just released and to an upcoming Christmas novella! Listen in and see what she has to offer.
I had a delightful chat with Tari Faris about her Restoring Heritage series and what she has planned for her characters. We talked about ones we liked and one, in particular, she assures me I'll like eventually. I trust her.. but eep! I love what she's doing with this town. With a revitalization project going on, you can guess that lots of changes are happening in Heritage.
I loved Tari's voice, her characterization, and the very delicate but realistic use of humor where it belongs. Seriously, you'll never think of plaster the same again... and it's just a simple but hilarious scene!
Her most recent release is the third book in the series, and check it out!
Leah Williams is back in the quaint town of Heritage, Michigan, and ready to try again to make her business a success. But blank slates are hard to come by, and a piece of her past is waiting for her there. Heir to the Heritage Fruits company, Jonathan Kensington is the guy who not only made Leah's past difficult, he also seems determined to complicate her present as well.
Jon is trying to prove to the Heritage Fruits board that he, not his manipulative uncle, should be running the business. The board insists Jon find a new owner for the building that will house Leah's business. To avoid forcing a buyout of Leah's part of the building, Jon strikes a compromise with Leah, and the two go into business together. With her vision and his know-how, it might work. And Leah might realize he's loved her since high school. If only he didn't keep on shooting himself in the foot by boxing her out of important decisions.
Sparks fly in this romantic story of two people who must learn to trust both each other and the one who called them to this journey.
