Seriously, what could be better than a curmudgeon with a pampered cat and more shoes than Imelda Marcos? And what about dealing with life-long issues? Liana George has written a compelling book about life, secrets, and overcoming personal demons.

Book one of a three-book series, Perfectly Arranged will keep you riveted from the first page.  Ask me how I know.

3 Reasons You Won't Be Able to Put Down This Hysterical Novel

Obviously, I liked the book. I was a bit annoyed that I had to stop reading long enough to do the interview, but Liana George is a whole lot of fun to talk to, so I got over myself pretty quickly.

That kind of gives away that I liked the book but um... will you?  I thought it would be fun to share why I think you will.

First, characters.  Seriously. This woman knows how to write complicated people without making the writing complicated. That takes skills, folks!

Second, emotions. From the first page, Liana George takes you on a wild emotional ride. Not only that, but each tug at your heartstrings, each flare of anger, each confused moment makes SENSE.  Shocker!

And third, story.  This book took me to places I'd never have expected from the cover (which we'll talk about in a second).  I loved that twist of the unexpected and a deeper story than I'd anticipated. Liana George does a lovely job of providing a rich reading experience.

and that cover...

I'll be honest. Until you read the book, it doesn't make a lot of sense.  It gives off strong, nonfiction vibes.  However, once you've read the book, you can't help but smile at it.  And that's kind of cool!
